Advanced Workshops

This workshop focuses on building participants’ ability to facilitate others in the use of analytic process on significant school or district issues. Workshop emphasis is given to deepening understanding of analytic process and to building competence and confidence in facilitating groups in the use of analytic process.

Target Audience: Key school or district personnel who have used analytic process and who will be expected to facilitate and help others resolve school or district issues using analytic process

Key Activities: In-depth examination of processes and introduction of additional concepts; facilitation and coaching practice on case scenarios; feedback from instructors and others; and development of project action plan

Length: 3-4 days

Prerequisite: Analytic Processes for School Leaders (APSL) Workshop

Learn how to:

  • Facilitate use of analytic process on difficult issues
  • Extend and maximize use of process
  • Handle conflict and other difficulties when facilitating groups
  • Coach others in use of process
  • Enhance school or district results from use of analytic process


This workshop focuses on helping potential Program Leaders learn how to conduct the Analytic Processes for School Leaders workshop and obtain the necessary license. Emphasis is on building familiarity with: the workshop design, instructor support materials, and the analytic process teaching segments.

Target Audience: Key school or district personnel who are skilled in applying Analytic Process and who would be successful in conducting in-district workshops

Key Activities: Introduction of systematic teaching; practice teaching Analytic Process concepts; feedback from instructors and others; outline and materials walkthroughs; process review and discussion; additional techniques for maximizing workshop success

Length: 2-1/2 to 4 days

Prerequisite: Advanced Process Facilitator (APF) Workshop

Effectively conduct Analytic Processes for School Leaders (APSL) workshops for district colleagues, including:

  • Understand and apply systematic teaching (a proven adult learning methodology)
  • Understand the rationale for workshop design and options
  • Present concepts in a clear manner
  • Use instructor outline and materials
  • Coach participants
  • Handle participant questions and potential difficulties
  • How to prepare for first and subsequent workshops
  • Conduct APSL workshops within the stipulations of the TEF license
